More than 100 young leaders have graduated from our Future Generations Leadership Academy since 2019 and become champions for the Well-being of Future Generations Act across Wales.
These future leaders play a crucial part in Wales’ movement for change and after graduating the Academy are automatically enrolled in our Alumni Network alongside other engaged graduates.
As well as helping to shape our work, Alumni are offered a variety of opportunities to attend events and join boards and committees including:
- Attending and facilitating discussions at the largest youth summit in the world, One Young World, in Manchester (2022) and Dublin (2023).
- Attending and speaking at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021.
- Attending United Nations Summit on Future Generations in 2024.
- Working with international governments and organisations including the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2024 and UK Government on the Future Generations Bill in 2022.
- Speaking at high profile events including Wales Climate Week and the Royal Welsh Show.
- Joining our Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and Advisory Panel.
